Helping People Heal and Thrive

Our Place offers a dynamic style of counseling therapy, which emphasizes the value of each individual and empowers people to live happier and more fulfilling lives.

Counseling Therapy

Emotional and psychological problems are real and painful, even harmful to health and functionality. When you are suffering, a counselor or therapist can provide surprisingly rapid and effective help.

Therapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase wellbeing and healing. Problems helped by psychotherapy include difficulties in coping with daily life; the impact of trauma, medical illness or loss, like the death of a loved one; and specific mental disorders, like depression or anxiety.

We offer a wide array of options for your specific needs. Individual and group therapy can be arranged at your site or in a professional office setting. Please contact us to see how we can work with you.

PATIENT ADVOCATE – Jacqueline Piercey

Jacqueline has extensive knowledge and experience in the social services field.  Over the past twenty years, she has dedicated herself to providing excellent support and advocacy to individuals of all ages, who are facing challenges in their lives.

In her time working as a Disability Examiner, she has gained an invaluable body of knowledge and developed the skills needed to understand and navigate the Social Security Disability system.  She witnessed the frustrations which many claimants faced in their application process, due to the complex nature of the system.

She also experienced the difficulties of living as a patient with an invisible illness.  It is her hope that despite her medical struggles, she can continue to make a difference and to increase awareness for those who suffer in silence with their own disability and illness.
